Our Sweet Smiling Angels.....

Here are 2 new pictures of our kiddos at the hospital from visiting some good friends of ours, Heather & Dan. They just celebrated the birth of their beautiful daughter, Abigail Paige. The kids loved seeing their Aunt Heather and Uncle Dan. Avery had a little fall the other day when we went hiking. :) Enjoy the pics and have a great day!

How You Live(Turn up the Music) by Point of Grace....

I was listening to the christian radio station the other day and heard this song. I want to say the station is 90.9. They play some great contemporary christian music. Anyway.. I heard this song and felt it really had a good message and wanted to share. Here are the lyrics and the music video. Enjoy and have a great day!

How You Live (Turn up the Music)
by Point of Grace

Verse 1: Wake up to the sunlight With your windows open Don't hold in your anger or leave things unspoken Wear your red dress Use your good dishes Make a big mess and make lots of wishes Have what you want But want what you have And don't spend your life lookin' back

Chorus: Turn up the music Turn it up loud Take a few chances Let it all out You won't regret it Lookin' back from where you have been Cuz it's not who you knew And it's not what you did It's house you live

Verse 2: So go to the ballgames And go to the ballet And go see your folks more than just on the holidays Kiss all your children Dance with your wife Tell your husband you love him every night Don't run from the truth 'Cause you can't get away Just face it and you'll be okay

Chorus: Turn up the music Turn it up loud Take a few chances Let it all out You won't regret it Lookin' back from where you have been 'Cause it's not who you knew And it's not what you did It's how you live

Happy 2008! (this post is a bit long).....

Happy 2008! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I guess you could say that I went on a bit of a blogging break with the holidays and everything going on. I'm back and ready to blog. :)

To those of you that don't know, some really close friends of ours invited us to Oklahoma for a few days after Christmas. G & I were stoked. We asked my parents if they would watch the kids for us and of course they said yes! We worked out the details and had Santa come for our kiddos on Saturday and left on Sunday for Arkansas to spend Christmas there. We had a great drive down there. We had gone the night before to Laura & Rick's to play games so needless to say we were a little tired the next day but excited. Avery was a little restless on the trip but once we got to Mimi & Big Daddy's he was raring to go. Raegan did wonderful and did her Word Search and read in the car. My parents had gotten a train table for the boys to play on and they also had a very nice remote controlled train set set up under the piano for the boys to play with. My dad set up a tent in the room he was staying in and a tv so he could watch Cars (his favorite movie). We had a wonderful Christmas! The kids got lots of beautiful clothes. Raegan got a lot of books that she wanted. She loves Beverly Cleary and the Junie B. Jones series. Avery got a remote control car (which he's a little scared of when it comes towards him), and the new Tickle Me Elmo (which he adores), and many more things. We celebrated A's birthday while we were in Arkansas since he turned 3 on December 27th! G and I had to leave on Wednesday since he had to work the next morning. :( It was hard but the kids did great! Coming home to an empty house was not something I liked though. It was too quiet.

We went by Ang & J's to pick up Sadie and stay for awhile playing some games. We played Sing Star and Catch Phrase Music Edition and had a blast!

Thursday: Avery's Birthday! Happy Birthday little man! A is 3 today! It's amazing how fast they grow. He's more of a little boy and less a baby with each passing day. My rents made him a cake and he got to open some more presents today. In Texas, G went to work and I cleaned the house, did laundry, called the kiddos and packed for our trip the next day. G didn't get off until 8pm so we got him packed and headed over to Laura & Rick's to grocery shop for our trip. We stayed with them so we could get a good start the next day.

Friday: On our way to Oklahoma!!!!!!!!! We stayed at the Red Top Cabins. They are completely furnished. The cabin we got can fit up to 11 people and has a hot tub. We got there and it was amazing. The air was so clean and fresh and it was wonderful to be out with nature. We brought our stuff in and the boys started working on the fire while Laura & I got everything situated. We put on some tunes and had a great time just hanging out, talking, sitting by the wonderful fire, and relaxing. I called the kiddos that night to check on them and of course they were doing wonderful. Avery's potty training was going very well and no accidents. I was the most worried about him and so glad that I had nothing to worry about.

Saturday: Our first morning in the cabin. We got up made breakfast, picked up some and went driving around and then hiking. The view was amazing. It's such a beautiful thing to be out in nature. It was so peaceful and serene. We had a great time hiking and taking pictures. We made marshmallows by the fire and played Spinners. G & I had never played that before but had a blast.

Sunday: Going home and our last day at the cabin. Check out was at noon but we had a wonderful time. We stopped at IHOP on the way home for lunch and stayed with Rick & Laura that night as well. We played some more games after getting unpacked.

Monday: New Years Eve! G & I went home and I got the house straightened, repacked and we went back to Laura & Rick's. Laura & I ran some errands and so did the boys. We then made dinner, got dressed and went to Justin's to our first party. We had a blast. Laura was our DD. We then went to Sonja & Steve's and I was the DD and had a blast. We rang in the New Year with them. After the New Year was rung in we went back to Rick & Laura's, drank and called Ang. She was in Colorado skiing. They were snowed in. Her & Laura suprised me with an Angels & Airwaves ticket for my birthday! I can hardly wait for the concert!!!!!!! We're going to have so much fun!

Tuesday: Happy New Year!! We got up and Laura made an amazing breakfast! Laura & I laid around for a bit and then drove to Texarkana to go pick up the kiddos. It was so wonderful to see them! I missed our babies so much! Both of our kiddos seemed like they had grown some in that short time we were apart. We had a great trip back and we picked up G and went home. We had a wonderful time in Arkansas and Oklahoma and hopefull do it again soon.

Here are the pics from Christmas and Oklahoma. Check them out! Have a wonderful 2008!
