What I've Learned by Andy Rooney...

I really liked what he had to say and wanted to share. If you read it it can really enlighten you. Enjoy.

I've learned.... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned.... That just one person saying to me, "You've made my day!" makes my day.

I've learned.... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right.

I've learned.... That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I've learned.... That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way.

I've learned.... That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I've learned.... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand t o hold and a heart to understand.

I've learned.... That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I've learned.... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned.... That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.

I've learned.... That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned.... That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I've learned... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned.... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned.... That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I've learned.... That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned.... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

I've learned.... That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.

I've learned.... That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

I've learned.... That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.

I've learned.... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I've learned.... That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away.

I've learned.... That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I've learned.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

I've learned.... That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.

I've learned.... That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, that you're hooked for life.

I've learned.... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

I've learned.... That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

Let It Go....

SOMETIMES WE NEED TO JUST...Let it go ...by T. D. Jakes

There are people who can walk away from you.
And hear me when I tell you this!
When people can walk away from you: let them walk.
I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you.
I mean hang up the phone.
When people can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.
People leave you because they are not joined to you.
And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay.

Let them go .

And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person,it just means that their part in the story is over.
And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead.
You've got to know when it's dead.
You've got to know when it's over.

Let me tell you something.
I've got the gift of good-bye.

It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.
It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me.
And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it.

Stop begging people to stay.

Let them go!!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to... LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains .. LET IT GO!!!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth... LET IT GO!!!

If someone has angered you ... LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge .. LET IT GO!!!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction .LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents .. LET IT GO!!!

If you have a bad attitude...LET IT GO!!!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better...LET IT GO!!!

If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him...LET IT GO!!!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship....LET IT GO!!!

If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves..LET IT GO!!!

If you're feeling depressed and stressed ....LET IT GO!!!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it," then you need to...LET IT GO!!!

Let the past be the past.
Forget the former things.
GOD is doing a new thing for 2007 !!!
LET IT GO!!!
Get Right or Get Left .
think about it, and then LET IT GO!!!

Some Updates and thoughts....

I know it's been a bit since my last update so here's the scoop. Things have been busy in the Bennett household and there have been some changes. I have a job now and working for a company called Hotel Resources. I work from home a few hours a day and absolutely love it! I feel so lucky to have found something like this. It gives me something to do when Avery is napping and a way to earn some extra money.

In Avery news, he is potty training and doing really well. I bought him underwear and he wears it around the house. We're not ready to venture out in public yet but soon. Our little man turns the big 3 next month. Hard to believe really since it seems like only yesterday he was a little tiny baby and now he is a walking, talking, sweet little boy. We are trying to start a new tradition with him and have his party before Christmas. As most of you know his birthday is on the 27th of December. We are working out the details to figure when we could have it. He is growing so much. It's funny to see him point to the tv and say "I want that" for every little thing regardless of what it is. He says sentences and loves to play & bug his big sister. He is an amazing little guy and I love being his mom!

In Raegan news, she is doing wonderful! I haven't posted this on the kid's blog yet but her teacher has recommended her for UIL, which stands for University Interscholastic League. They only pick the top 2nd & 3rd graders to begin practice for Storytelling and Raegan was one of the students picked! We are so very proud! She starts her practice on the 26th of November so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. In the spring they will have tryouts to choose the top 3 students. We are so excited for her and I will keep you posted. Raegan is doing wonderful in school and making straight A's. She loves to read, play PS2, play with her brother, and be with her family and friends. She is an amazing little girl and I love being her mom and so proud of her!

In other news, I have a feeling that December will be a busy month. My parents are coming next weekend and looking forward to seeing them. We have a holiday party in the works and of course New Years party in the works as well. It will be a busy month.

It's still hard for me to believe that after next month it's a new year. I feel that overall 2007 has been a great & wonderful year. I've learned a lot and become stronger in some ways. I've learned from mistakes, working on not stressing and letting little things get to me. I've learned one sided relationships are a waste of time but you will learn from them. I've learned who my true friends are and learned who are not. Sometimes the people God puts in your path can surprise you. I do believe everything happens for a reason and have no regrets. I feel that the rest of this year is going to be wonderful and the only thing to do is keep moving forward and looking ahead. There is no telling what the future holds.

To my friends (you know who you are)... Thank you guys so much for being the amazing friends that you are, for always being there, being supportive, listening , and being by us no matter what. We are so blessed to have you in our life! You are AMAZING and we love you!

I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe and happy Thanksgiving!
